Incidents of racism in counseling practice 2025
The counseling network for victims of racism documented and analyzed a total of 1245 cases of racist discrimination in 2025. This represents 34 more cases than in the previous year, corresponding to an increase of just under 3%. Following the sharp rise of nearly 40% in 2024, the figures have thus stabilized at a high level.
As in 2025, most incidents occurred in the fields of education, the workplace, as well as in public spaces and neighborhoods. They most frequently involved anti-Black racism and xenophobia. Additionally, there was once again a noticeable increase in cases of anti-Muslim racism, while antisemitism remained at a consistently high level.
