Incidents of racism in counseling practice 2023

The counseling network for victims of racism documented and evaluated a total of 876 cases of racial discrimination in 2023, 168 more cases than in the previous year. Most incidents took place in education, at work and in public spaces. They mostly concerned xenophobia and anti-black racism. This shows that structural and institutional changes are urgently needed in the areas of education, politics, and the labor and housing market.
